Owens Corning Garage Door Insulation kit
Now that it is winter I see folks talking about ways to add insulation to non-insulated garage doors. Yes, you could just replace the door but the cost can be prohibitive and if the door was in nice shape otherwise....
Most kits I have seen used sheets of foam that would be easy to install but are made from foam that that is a fire and smoke hazard IMHO. Home Depot used to carry those kits with a nice warnings in fine print.
Owens Corning now makes a Garage Door Insulation kit. The kit consists of fiberglass sheets of about the right size and thickness with a white vinyl covering on the exposed side along with stick on anchors. It looks pretty good. Lowes sells them for about $70 per kit including shipping on their web site. I did not see them stocked in the store. One kit does a single car garage door. It looks like you buy two kits for a 2 car garage.
Here is a link to the mfg. data sheet (pdf). It is nice to see it has a fire and smoke rating.

Has anyone tried this kit?
Thanks
