    Default Custom Air Pistol

I'm hoping to get to a couple of FT matches this season. The Canadian Field Target Association may host a pistol match this year so I put together this gun from parts.

The grip frame and valve assembly is from a Crosman 2240. I have worked on the valve to bring the gun down to Canadian speed limits. (500 fps is max for a pistol) The aluminum breech I got from a friend and the bolt I made. The barrel is .177 and is machined from and old break barrel springer.

It has been in the -20's and -30's here for the last couple of weeks so I'll have to wait a while before getting the chance to do some outdoor shooting.

That is a nice looking job George. What distances are used in the FT matches?

Thanks, I'm not sure yet but I think the targets will be between 8 and 35 yards.
