Question Need a source for metric sized stock

Right now I need a bunch of steel round bar in various diameters (6mm, 10mm, 25mm, 40mm, etc) and in 1 meter lengths. Later on I'm going to be needing flat bar, plate, hex bar, angle, and in steel, brass, and aluminium.

I would prefer not to buy Imperial sized stuff and mill/turn it down to the required metric sizes; that's paying for material I don't need, and unproductive chip making time.

Parker Steel (www.metricmetal.com) doesn't sell retail. My RFQ was returned saying they needed my company name and information. Well, I'm simply a home hobbyist, w/o a company.

Speedy Metals doesn't handle metric sizes.

I've sent in RFQ's to Spahr Metric, Metric Shop, and Maryland Metric but got no reply (however, I hit them up yesterday, so they are not out of the picture just yet.)

However, if these people come up a dry hole, does anybody have any other suggestions?

I Own My Own Company And We Buy From A Local Supplier In East Texas However, We Normally Are Buying Chrome Cylinder Rod. We Have Been Buying 35mm And Up Rod. If Needed I Could Check To See If They Have The Smaller Rod If You Would Be Interested In Chrome.

    Thanks,

Thansk KTBaugh, but I don't need to pay for chrome. It's not needed for the projects I have in mind.
