Hello everyone, my name in Matt. I have done a little machine work while in the Navy but have pretty much been doing welding and fabrication since. Now I have been able to aquire a lathe (Walcott 20" x 120") with a quick change gearbox, 3 jaw buck chuck, face dog plate 3 or 4 tool holders, steady rest and some other tooling. Also got a large W.F. & J. Barnes camel back drill press with power feed, and a Letson & Burpee punch press with some misc round, square and notching punches as well as a small brake type punch for duing small (3") bends. I am also looking at buying a Craftsman 10" x 24" lathe with all the change gears, 3 chucks, faceplate, tool holder, steady rest, live and dead centers and a pipe cone along with extra tooling for $500. not sure yet what all I will do with them except start building parts for my airplane project but hopefully I can make some money with them also. I am still in need of a milling machine also but the guy that has the craftsman has one I might be able to get If I can figure out hoe to move it. It is huge, stands about 7 foot tall and according to him the base weighs 4000 lbs or more without the table or head installed. Well Anyway hello all and I hope I can find alot of good info on here
