single stage
Hey Folks,
Finished this a few months ago, always wanted one. Have borrowed a few over the many years mainly for my backyard bench rest and thought it was time to combine what I liked from what was available. What do you think? I am working on putting together a set of plans (article) for this project to submit to HSM but it is taking much longer than anticipated. A lot harder than one may think to do.

That is a nice looking press, and nicely put together and finished as well. I have been casting about for ideas myself, and would appreciate seeing an article on it's construction.
Are those pipe flanges for the upper and lower plates or purpose made pieces?

300 psi, just got rid of the threads and resized the bolt hole pattern.

Looks stout and you should have decent leverage. Nice to see things made from what is at hand and still look like it was all planed. Is the primer seater as sensitive as it looks? I need to design a heavy press for swaging.

Thanks, Bob
Yes it is, very little leverage (primmer press). And yes, built entirely of "on hand" . Tend to design projects around available material, but more, I have this and what can I build from it. Comes from a requirement of geographical location.
Think I will try a 338 federal to 22 short reform. Might make it groan.
