DC Motor spline Size/Type

I have a Golf Cart DC Motor and need to know what type and size the spline is in the end. How do I measure etc or can anyone tell from the info and pics. It's a Columbia Par Car motor.

19 spline and ID is .850. Hope that helps.

Any chance of standing the spline end on the lens of your scanner at a high resolution and then post the *.jpg image?

Include the outside diameter of the shaft for referencing or scaling.

Found out it's a Dana 19 spline. What I am looking for is a source for splined shaft or a coupling I can use with the motor. This type is usually bolted directly to tansmission which is why no end plate. I want to make a plate for the end and then use some kind of coupling to attach to a short tail shaft to a leaf sprung solid axle rear end of some sort. The spline size is needed because I would probably need to include a bearing in the end plate and have the spline to align and drive everything. Hope all that makes some sense. It's for a home built utility vehicle using the motor above and will be built from the ground up or in this case from the motor and around it. The motor was cheap.

This is the specs on the motor. Made by GE apparently and used on Yamaha and others.

Its a very long shot, but why not take it around your local garages or repair shops and see if they can help. They may recognise it as being the same as say in a drive-line (ends of tail-shaft/universals) or transmissions. Perhaps you could scrounge around in the scrap bins they have.

I can't see how I can help further without the scan of the end of the splined shaft I suggested as there are too many variables or unknowns for me at this stage.

I'd be surprised if someone here couldn't put you on the track of the detail or part you need or that could be modified to suit.

Guess what. You were right but I didn't need to go anywhere but back to where I bought the motor. After a bit of a chat to a guy who works there he mentioned that the spline should be the same as what was used on the Mini/Cooper vehicles and it seems that is exactly what they are. Now I know where to look if I need other parts........a mini wreckers. Just thought I would post a follow up in case anyone else wants to know what to look for.

Picked up two brand new drive shafts with CVs for AU$100.00. The guy has a lot more goodies as well.

Err, a total shot in the dark, but can't you go back to the guy you bought it from and get the bit it was originally bolted to??

Not that easy. These motors fit directly to the differential housing (see image below) which he has, but I don't want to use that type of diff.
