Default Great News! ABC just declared the recession over!

I wonder if they asked the 10 million out of work or was it an interoffice poll of the talking heads? I didn't quite catch it. Myself, I think it's because prices are skyrocketing and we're swinging into inflation because of the dropping (again) dollar. Where's the bandwagon? I want on!

He hasn't quite broken the back of the wealthy, so I'd say bama's still on the war path.

The problem is that you cannot punish the rich. All they'll do is close shop if taxes get too high, stiff workers if their expenses rise too much, and pass it all on to the consumer if they don't make enough at the end of the day.

I'm starting to wish we did have biden in command - he's not as much of an activist (cause he's too stupid) and might do less damage in the long run.

Here's a novel idea - 10% flat tax on those making over $200K. You'd probably have a surplus from simply abandoning all the tax shelters they're using right now. This would also result in a perception among those people as having more liquidity, and they're likely to spend more and get the economy out of the dump its been in.

Giving poor people more money only means they won't be quite as poor for a VERY short period of time (I'm against the stimulus checks - we're spending other peoples money to give it to people who've likely never contributed). We need to let the workers keep their cash, and that will spur recovery.

Yeah those pesky regulations that forced banks to give loans to people that couldn't possibly pay them back. Good idea.

We'll never have a flat tax,too hard for Dems to avoid paying it.

So far this transparent administration is about as clear as mud.

No, the wealthy will just move out of the country if Obama trys to "break their backs". They have enough of our money that they can go live out their lives on some South Pacific Island (Like Marlon Brando did)
One thing I learned about the "Recession" is, it hurts the "little people" (like most of us) and the wealthy just "ride it out" and take care of their own.
No, nobody is going to deregulate banking...not as long as the bankers have the cash to buy legislators off.
    No good deed goes unpunished.

Oh, they're transparent alright - I can see they want to break our union plain as day.

I think all voting officials need to take a pass fail test with 80% minimum correct in order to cast votes on any bill on the hill. If that's what I had to do in order to work on helicopters in the military, they can do that for legislation that could ruin my life. No more of this hiding crap in there because no one reads past the first couple hundred...

I bet we'd see no bill larger than 10 pages if that came to be.
