    Default Bridgeport V2E3 retrofit

I am in the process of retrofitting a bridgeport V2E3 machine and thought it may be of interest to those here. I frequent the forums here but it is just too much to type out twice. Of course I would be glad to answer any questions.

This is my second retrofit, I did a manual BP with steppers/gecko's/ballscrews a couple years ago and now have the fever.

Hey Sparky. Nice looking build. I am gathering info for a retrofit on a Tree Journeyman 310. I am going to reuse the factory dc servos and I'm looking at the Dugong drives to run them.

My question has to do with the caps that are connected to the blue wires going to your drives. What do they do and how do you calculate what size is needed? Also, I can't tell what they are connected to, is that the motor wires?

I tried to post this on the cnc forum website but I kept getting a message from their server saying it couldn't save.

Never noticed your reply here. But did see it at the zone and took care of it.
