    Default oil seals

I need to find an oil seal for the gear box on my mill. Does anyone have a link to a site that i can punch in dimensions and get a part # for a seal?

Not quite typing in, but McMaster Carr has oil seals listed by dimensions starting at: http://www.mcmaster.com/#oil-seals/=4qzysm

A local or on-line supplier of parts for hydraulic cylinders will have a range of seals by dimensions. "Hercules" is one major supplier. "National Seal" is another. Sorry I don't have any links, try Google for those names.

    Hi,

Try Baum Hydraulics. I've matched seals using shaft and bore measurements for various pieces of heavy equipment, and the savings over dealer is substantial.

    Hi
Any GOOD bearing/seal supply house will quickly get you the seal if you supply them with the OD-ID-Thickness.

Hi all, thanks for the replies, i called the Chicago rawhide company witch is now SKF. They quickly matched up a seal by dimensions, choice of nit-rel or vi ton and located a local company to order the seal from. When i get the seal in hand ( about 2 days ) i will post all the info. Weird i replied to your offer to find a seal in the last thread but it moved down the board so fast i don't think you saw the reply. Thanks though.
