Made 5 gallons of Tinsel for the Christmas tree.
Oh Yeah, and some parts for a customer.

The secretaries in the department I used to work for used to love the aluminum turnings. They would take a few from the lathe bed and try to think of stuff to do with them. My boss and I started making "skip art" and giving it away. The gals loved it. We would take a piece of 1/2" plex scrap, drill some holes in it, mount some random lengths of filler rod, and place some small curls of aluminum on the ends. They looked like cat tails in a pond. These things were so popular that every desk in the department had one. It is amazing what you can do to amuse yourself on a 15 minute break.
