Default Remington built on a Browning patent.

Anyone out there ever heard of a 22 semi that is a Remington built on a Browning patent. Built before 1950. I had one till someone took it. I am trying to find a price for one and any information on it for the insurance company.

    Thanks Jgsons2

    Default

The Remington Model 24 and 24A were semi-auto 22 rifles built under the Browning patent. They were manufactured in the late 20's and early 30's. Book value runs from $150 to $500 depending on condition. Any extras such as tang sights, checkering, etc will add to the value. A good idea of price and quality can be gained by looking on the various gun auction sites such as Gunbroker to see what they are actually selling for.

    Default Old Memories

That brings back some old memories. I killed my first squirrell with one about 65 years ago. In the farmland of east Texas back then squirrell hunting was big game hunting. You could eat them. Got kind of miffed at my grandmother, she made squirrell dumplings and I liked it better fried.
