Default Cheap Ebay DRO any good?

I've seen these on Ebay from the DRO store in Singapore.
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Has anyone used them and got any opinions?
Thinking they seem a reasonable price for fitting to my knee mill.
Would I be better of with Yadro or Shumatech systems?

I think there all about the same from over there including easson. Contact him and ask about the duty or look in his feed back for someone close to you who has bought one and ask them what duty they paid. These type of glass scales are alot more accurate than the caliper type.

On the original source in Singapore. I used to go to Singapore on business several times a year. I called the guy on the phone and met him. He was reasonable and I bought a DRO from him. He packed it so I could check it as luggage in the return trip. He did a nice job and nothing was damaged. What he is selling in the link is a newer model than I have. I would buy from him without reservation.

Installed a 3 axis readout version, with glass scales, on my Sx3 mill last spring. I've been extremely happy with the system and have zero regrets.

Same here, no regrets. I installed 2 axis units on my mill and lathe and they work great. Mine are from the guy in Singapore. He'll work with you on the import duty. Oh, one complaint - the instruction is in Chinglish and useless as boobs on a boar. On request, the DRO guy will send you a decent translation.
