Lets hope it came from the factory calibrated correctly, wouldn't it be funny if it had a Sieg looking inspection card?

Hope things work out well for you Ernie.
At least you've got family to stay with. I know it's not like being home but it is nice to have someone to talk to everyday, nothing like being in a strange city all alone.
Yes you'll have lots of time for reading alright but the time will pass quickly.
Thank you for taking the time to give others a heads up.
Godspeed my friend, you'll be in the shop soon.

    RB211.

I think that Ernie (aka dockrat) is saying that that is radiation therapy for prostate cancer instead of or in conjunction with (after) radical (surgical) removal of the prostate.

I am certain that the machine is calibrated and inspected to a standard well in excess of any that may apply at Sieg or anywhere else.

I wish Ernie all that he and his family and friends wish for him.

Ernie has given you some excellent advice:

GET YOUR PSA CHECKED AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR GUYS!!!!.
    Take it.

A lot laugh about the "finger" and PSA tests - but get it wrong and it will wipe the smile or smirk right off your face!!!

And that may be no bad thing.

    Thumbs up

Oldtiffie has a super take on dockrat's problems. The only thing we could add is, to approach this thing with a sense of humor. We believe you are, and have been on that glide path.

"A prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test measures the amount of prostate-specific antigen in the blood. PSA is released into a man's blood by ..."

I actually had to Google it to see what it was.
A blood test to check your prostate, right?

Yep, Doozer, that's exactly what it is---and it doesn't HURT to give a little blood and not nearly as embarassing as the "finger" exam!!

i was there a year and a half ago. its not a fun thing. i think the results were satisfactory but on ly time will tell. they burn everything a half inch beyond the prostate and the healing continues even a year and a half later for me... i was an exception i was told.
but, on the very bright side, you have a very very good chance of being rid of the critter thats there. and you will be back to normal stuff in about 4weeks after the treatment stops if i remember correctly.

good luck and keep your sunny side down . . . . .

As I scrolled down I thought that is one beautiful CNC mill until I got to the picture of the bed and realised that it was not.
Sorry to hear about you problems.
Modern medicine is good these days, 50 years ago you would have no chance.

Am I the only one that thinks that machine looks like a new version of a K&T 2D?
