here's a mouse brain lesion. Blue = nuclei, green = actin (a cytoskeleton filament), not sure what red is labelling (colleagues work)

next up is an autofluorescence image of a fire worm (polychaete annelid) - the spikes are calciferous and break off in your skin causing either burning itching sensations or long term numbness

close up of the spikes (chitae?). My colleage was super excited by this image as some of the autofluorescence is seen only in the tips of the spikes, which might be the causative agent of the numbness. Long way down the road, but that might lead to new anaesthetics. Or not, given that it took over 18 months for the numbness in her finger tips to wear off when she was collecting them.
Have you tried focus stacking the images using Zerene Stacker?

Hi elf, they're all 2D projections of 3D stacks. I can't remember how many images were in the Z-stacks of the fire worm or brain slice, but the worm images were around 60-70 images per stack with the best focused DIC (white light) image pulled out and merged with the GFP 2D projection. In fact, one of the cooler things I was able to do with the gonad images was rotate the 3D image and capture end on, side on and top down images from it to show how the cells overlap in one plane but not others. That one's going in the grant I'm supposed to be rewriting right now to buy one

I added 98 poly bins (7x14) to the side of my Lista tool chest. I have 210 bins up on my loft (35x6), and 40 (4x10) on the side of another tool chest. I also have several hundred down in my wood shop but a lot of the bins in the wood shop belong in the metal shop and lots of bins in the metal shop belong in the wood shop so I have a lot of swapping to do. I can't wait until they are all organized and all of the bolts/nuts are in my metal shop and all of the nails, screws, etc. are in my wood shop.

The kart used to be a Razor buggy for my son. We hopped it up and put a big 48V electric motor + speed controller + batteries, and I rebuild the drive train and put on some nice go-kart tires. This is what it originally was. My son also added a CD/stereo, xmas lights, head lights but then took then off, etc. He loves adding stuff onto it.
