Default Varaible Speed/Lever Mill Vise Handle

Had an old rotary table index handle. Thought it would be cool to have a mill vise handle that I could turn faster than the stock one, but also have the ability to get some good pressure on the part as well. Cut aslot in the web of the hadle. Milled two flats on a 3/4" socket. Welded a bolt in the drive end of the socket. Adjust friction to suit. Also, I was very disappointed and frustrated that my G0484 mill did not have a spindle lock; it didn't even come with a wrench or something to hold it. As a result I made this cheesey spindle wrench in a hurry...

Nothing wrong with those at all, reminds me of how inconvenient my mill vise is to tighten and how I need to do something with it. Will need some sort of extension and maybe a 4-way tire lug wrench

Sears has their sliding T handles for really good pricing, but you have to order it online as they're not stocked in the stores anymore. I use those with the appropriate deep socket for the vise and it balances nicely to spin with one finger and then it's super quick to just slide the handle over and get some leverage.

You can also get the stuff shipped to your door for free if you order online in the store on their computers.

My 15" 1/2" drive handle was something like $15, and the 3/8 was around 11 if I remember right.
