Enco 10x24 lathe missing parts
I just recently purchased an Enco 10x24 lathe built in 1986. It has a brand new 2 hp Dayton motor on it, new bearings, new drum switch and a few other items so for $350 I figured it wasn't a bad price. This poor thing however has had a tough life and now I'm trying to bring it back into decent shape. There are some knobs missing and some of the levers are gone.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I get them shrunk down a bit.
One of the more urgent needs I have is for pictures and measurements of the Lead and Feed gearbox shift lever mechanisms. The fork and dog that actuates the sliding gear to engage the lead and feed gears.
The other item of concern is for the spur gear that is used in the lead and feed reversing. There are two gears, one is 30 tooth while the other is 25 tooth. I am missing the 30 tooth gear and need to replace it.
Alanganes posted a picture of his Jet 10x24p on 11/26/2009 that shows exactly the gear I'm missing.
Reading through this forum has been a huge help already as I am new to metal machining. While I have been welding for quite some time as a hobbiest, this is my first lathe. I have a small 15 acre ranch and farm with old junk so I am constantly in need of shafts that need turning, spacers made, shims, etc. This will now be a lot easier to do.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
