Default A minor tool gloat and a "whatzitfor"

These things followed me home yesterday with no damage to my wallet

Now the question is; what is this one used for other than cutting a .5" wide by .5" deep 90° V groove?? I can't find anything like it in my catalogues.

Also handy for chamfering both edges of thin slots at once, or wider slots with 2 passes...

Chamfering, or making a nice sharp 90 degree inside corner.

Middleby Marshall pizza oven drive shafts have that very cut the length of the shaft where the conveyor chain is driven by multiple sprockets. The set screws tighten into the v groove and when tightened will not raise the metal the way it would on a shaft without a flat or something, and the sprockets are easy to move up and down the shaft for adjusting the position of the conveyor chain going thru the oven.
