Go to this board where this thread discusses making a bullet swaging press... you can use their basic press design to creat a custom reloading press for .50 BMG or any caliber you wish... its a great article.

    Default 50 BMG press

Dillon Precision Products sells a 50 BMG press if you want to just buy one. They're $1000 though.

Thanks for the help gents! We're trying to do this on the cheap, so making a press is easier than buying---the material cost is next to nothing, and the machine work is free.

I have a local friend that uses a press he made; his uses a rack & pinion to feed the ram, and he isn't pleased with the ratio of it and the force required to do full length sizing. I am looking to copy his top end and do the bottom end with a standard mechanical linkage.

We love Dillon stuff, have a RL 550B thats made a brazillion rounds. Just can't afford their BFR...

    Thanks again for the info!

    Regards, Ken

This is a thread on a press I bought a while back. It was manufactured in the 50's, but the concept would be simple enough to scale up out of barstock to make a press capable of handling the 50 BMC. I have used it for forming 219 Zipper from 30-30 brass and it doesn't even grunt.

Lee sells a 50 BMG reloading kit. I recently bought their kit new for $289.00. Kit includes press and all dies for BMG inclusive of primer placement attachment and case lub. Works great. Simply install press and begin reloading.
