    About the only Australia wide supplier of equipment is Hare and Forbes.

    Any dealer here will ship machine tools anywhere in the country..

    We have a large number of dealers who seem to mostly sell cheap stuff with a bit of higher quality stuff..

    Then there are a limited number of sellers who only sell good to high quality equipment..

    There are also a couple of ebay sellers (such as Ozmestore) who have a whole range of cheap (new) equipment.
    I get a chuckle from HSMer's in the US sometimes with complaints that they have to drive an hour or so to see a machine. Unless you are in Sydney or Melbourne, a wide choice of dealers isn't really available here and private sellers supplying material worthy of gloats are few and far between (let alone cheap or dumb sellers). My pre-owned lathe, mill and shaper have all come from over 500 miles away.
