Exact same welder but they do offer support and repairs. If you look at the small plasma they do on ebay there are better photo's of the test setup gear.
I/ve just bought one thesefrom these people I will let you know how it goes

    Dereck,
Did you get the foot pedal with it ?

I was going to do some sample welds with it today but it was that cold the arc kept going out

yes you get a footpedal included.
With these sets the footpedal is metal bashing wrapped round a std 47K pot and a simple switch. so you could rig up just about anything to emulate the footpedal action.

    Derek,
Any idea what the pin outs are?
Mine has a 3 pin socket, can supply photo tomorrow if needed.

If the connector only has 3 pins, it sounds like they're using the rheostat to turn the arc/gas solenoid on and off.

So three terminals should be the rheostat: two ends of the resistor and the wiper. So buzz-out the lines while you vary the foot pedal. You would think the wiper would be the middle terminal

Doesn't your manual have the pinout for the pedal?

    Default Buying a Tig Welder

A few months ago I too was looking for a Tig welder. I considered going the less expensive route. After talking to a number of very good welders I changed my plan and bought a high end Tig Welder "Dynasty 200". After spending many hours learning how to use this machine and it's features I am glad I spent the extra bucks. Much of my welding is on guns and gun parts.

Remember you get what you pay for.
