Default favorite Pop Mech/Pop Sci articles from Google books

I love to look at the back issues of Pop Science and Pop Mechanics on Google books . I was wondering what some of your favorite articles were or favorite issues .

    Default ref shop notes

If you mean a collected works or best of then there is none afaik.

Some of the early issues - 1920's & 30's - had a workshop section that was called "Shop Notes".

There are some nice articles on Atlas shapers and mills that I like. Quite a few articles non-specific to any particular machine on home shop machining including setups and tools projects. They're a fun browse.

Shop Notes books WERE available here:

May have some luck finding them used.
