    Default Hercules cylindrical grinder

Does anyone have any info or know where to get info on a Hercules 10"x20" cylindrical grinder? I haven't seen it, but a friend of mine found one for sale. Only problem is it's over 100 miles away and I would like to get some info on it before I go look at it. Any idea how much it weighs?

    Default Hercus

    Jeepers,

I haven't found any documentation on the these grinders.
Hercus have no information, and I've asked on several forums
    without luck.

Weight is estimated at 750kgs. Moved mine with a forklift and
    a 1ton sling.

I haven't seen it yet, but he said it was a Hercules (not Hercus). I can't find anything on it.

If its a hydraulic operated one I would expect that it should be close to the weight of a smaller Cincinatti ID/OD grinder. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000KG/2200LB. Plus or minus a bit each way. Not something I would want to put into a basemant shop. But a small grinder in good shape would be nice to have. Not required but nice. We actually have part of one of these at work that they were planning on using for a project that was never finished. I really should find out if they are going to toss it and if the rest of the parts are st ill on the shelf.
