    Default Bandsaw Gloat!

I bought a new bandsaw today. It is more in line with what I need than the last one. This one only weighs 600kg. It has automatic feed and double vices. Comes with a roller bed for the material to ride on. I can set it to cut automatic up to 600mm pieces from long stock. The vices are hydraulic as is the feed mechanism. And it cuts horizontally also like the last one.

It is only 20km away and I will pick it up on Saturday.

Not bad. You can probably cut longer if it has a multi-index counter on it. You just set the index to say 2 and divide your length by 2. I am in the band saw field but I don't recognize what brand yours is

I have heard of corn fields but never band saw fields!

I don't know what brand it is actually. I just looked at it for five minutes and had to leave to pick up my daughter. I did not get to see it run. The building that it was in had no electricity. It is 380 volts and I will take a generator with me when I pick it up. If it doesn't run the deal is off. He agreed with no hesitation. He works for a good friend of mine so I don't think he would try to screw me. His name is not Martin!!!!

Too funny. I should have said I sell band saw blades and sell and repair band saw machines for a living.

I took a second look and the saw reminds me of the Italian Bianco line.

Bandsaw is in my shop. Everything runs good. The blade on it is really dull but it cut enough for me to see everything works. The automatic feed is pretty nice. I just have to set how many millimeters I want and how many and off it goes. I never had a saw like that so it is quite a new thing for me.

The size lets me cut only 8 inch square material but that is more than enough for my needs. I really like that to cut an angle the saw swivels and not the vice.

So how many tooth per inch blades should I get? Mostly using it to cut steel.

What kind of work do you do? Structural steel you probably want a 4-6t or 5-7 If you do large say 6 or 8 inch solids you are into a 2-3 or 3-4.

I do mostly structural steel cutting.

This saw is really cool. I am really glad I sold the other one and bought this one.

    Default Blade

A 6-10 variable pitch would be good for going through thin cross sections of pipe, channel, angle and I beam.
