Cheap south bend on ebay BIN
Not for me ..even though only 10 miles away.
BUT IT IS BUY IT NOW ..SO NO AUCTION .
so i feel alright about sharing it
but..when you add up the parts it needs
Motor, Tailstock , Countershaft, belts, switchgear...and maybe something wrong with the apron....in the uk you could probably wait for a complete one and get it cheaper than "it, plus its sum of parts" and probably better condition..it's i think a pre 1935 one .
all the best.markj
No it's not. If a metal lathe has become unfit for duty, with little hope of restoration, it can have a long happy rebirth as a nice heavy wood lathe. Too bad the TS is missing though.
