I have used one of those quite a bit. All in all it's a pretty good home shop grinder. The price is reasonable, I always see if they are willing to take less but prepared to pay the asking price if not.

It's not in your quote, but I was just reading your comment about the .001 depth with motor and wheel on a hinge....what does that mean? Does the wheel float upon too much pressure?

What kind of questions would one want to ask if calling the number? I live a good drive away.

Somehow I get the feeling anyone on this board living relatively close to this machine is calling right now!

There is a knob above the wheel that regulates the down feed. The motor and wheel assy. pivots on a hinge. If you try to take too much of a cut, sometimes the knob backs off a little (on the one I used). The weight of the motor keeps the wheel housing up against the downfeed screw.
Ask if it has good spindle bearings and if there are any extra wheels with it.

...oh I saw that ad, if I had more room to spare I would've been up there already looking at it.

I would avoid this one. It doesn't have the original motor which was precision balanced. Chatter could be an issue with this grinder

I've got one of these, currently in pieces for rebuild that never seems to happen. Mine has the original three phase motor and worked pretty well before taking it apart to rehab the lead screws and scrape the ways. As long as everything is there and the main bronze bearing is in decent shape, these are a decent value because with a couple of accessories you can sharpen a variety of tooling as well as have a capable 5x10 surface grinder. Do be aware that the wheel mounts are different than those for a Harig or other grinder and can be tough to find used. Sopko still makes them, but will get $100 per for them the last time I checked.
