    Default Neat museum

I stumbled on the Cengelhan mueum while in Ankara on business. It is housed in a building built 500 years ago by the Ottomans right across the way from the hilltop Byzantyne Citadel or fortress.

The biggest surprise was the very large collection of model steam engines. Who knew the Turks have hobbies too?

I hope to visit the other locations in Istanbul sometime soon.

I worked in Turkey a few years ago and went to another museum there, don't recall the name but I think it was in Istanbul. Turkey has very interesting people, history and culture. That's my motorbike in front of the F-104 Starfighter. With gas at about $12 a gallon, 125cc's is just about right.

Whenever I had a break from work I rode around the country as much as I could. The most hospitable people I've ever run across. Went to pay for my lunch in a restaurant and was told "No, you are our guest here, you do not pay."
