Mini-mill Build 2012

For this year’s Workshop, we will once again feature a mini-mill build class. Ron Ginger has agreed to instruct it again and I’m sure it will prove to be another hit.

I will be meeting with Ron and others involved in the class at the Cabin Fever show in a few weeks. I am hoping that I will be able to come up with a firm price shortly afterwards. There have been some price increases in both components and shipping and the new price will have to reflect these.

We will not be taking payments until we have all the price details worked out. However, I have started a list for those interested and will enter the names in the order in which I receive them. The class will once again be limited to ten people, but I will place an additional three names on a reserve list, in the event that anyone would need to back out.

I’ll update this thread as I get the info in. Much of the build will be similar to last years, with the exception of the price and few other minor details. 2011 build class

It's looking like the class is full. There are still a few people that may pull out and I'll be taking two or three more names for a standby list.

The final slots for the build class are full. I'm not expecting any to open up, but you never know and I'll post here if we do have some openings.

We have decided to increase the size of the build class to 12 people. That, and the fact that I’ve had a few people back out due to scheduling conflicts, has eliminated our standby list.

If you are interested, I am planning on putting two new names on the standby list. I can’t guarantee that we will have any more openings, but you never know. Plus, getting on this year’s list will give you priority for next year’s event.

For those wondering what is going one with the final price for the mini-mill, I'm still waiting on one vendor but will come up with a firm price next week, whether I hear from them or not.
