What is your opinion of the Coddington loupe or Hastings Triplet Loupe?

    Which way would you go?

I have both but I like the Hasting better, it gives you a larger flat field of view for a given magnification. They are usually somewhat more expensive, naturally. My good coddington in 10X works fine but I do occasionally find the small field annoying.

Personally I use a pair of 2.5x Dr Dean Reading Glasses and a 30x Edwards Tool Scope

The reading glasses work nicely when I'm turning some thing small or precisely

It depends on how small the sliver is.
