    Default Motor pulley size on SB mod c???

    Just picked up a SB model C lathe and there is no pulley on the motor....what size was the normal??? it is using the flat belts & I intend on making one for it but I need to know the size...motor is a 1725 rpm...Thanks , Shawn

    2 1/4" , single speed. Mine is about as original as you can get.

    This is a standard motor and large drive pulley for a 9C. Ignore the position it is my version of an under drive. The large pulley is a two step flat. The motor pulley has about a 2 1/2 in. and a smaller diameter, a little over an inch, at the base of the V slots.

    It might seem odd that they use a v belt on a flat pulley but it works great and although the belt appears to be a little on the slack side, it runs smoother that way and on this size of machine the grip is just right.
