If, and its a BIG if, one trigger fired both barrels it would be illegal in the US. If you look closely you will see two separate triggers on the models destined for the US. Oh, and its a double .45 so it would be a 22mm in that case.

No it would not. The rule is more then one one round CONTINUOUS. Being a machine gun. Two or more rounds fired at the SAME time does not meet any NFA requirement or restriction. FYI Machine guns are NOT illegal in the USA I own a few.Originally Posted by jkilroy
FYI This pistol has been disused at great length on most of the NFA boards. It is NOT a NFA item and is LEGAL in the USA in both it's evolutions.

I guess it's no different than those kits that gang two semi-auto 10-22's together. Two or more rounds fired at the SAME time does not meet any NFA requirement or restriction.

With them 180 out of phase you get a more even bang bang bang bang with each crank rotation.
Ok, so pardon me if this sounds stupid, but...Originally Posted by jkilroy
In the case where you have two separate triggers for this beast, what happens when you pull just one?
Does the slide cycle and eject both the casing from the fired round and the entire cartridge for the unfired round?
Or is it clever enough to know not to cycle the slide until both chambered rounds are fired? That would be an interesting trick...

From what I have been told while one version has separate triggers you can not pull just one both have to be pulled at the same time to fire it. Otherwise you would be ejecting a live round from one side.Originally Posted by Wirecutter
Ok. I saw a movie once called "Quigley Down Under", where Tom Selleck's character had a rifle with two triggers. He'd pull one, then the other to fire a single shot. (In the movie, the Selleck character was also quite the marksman.)Originally Posted by Maine 04655
Kind of an odd thing for a pistol, IMHO, but a heck of a lot of bang. Two .45's at once. The video seems to show pretty substantial recoil - no surprise there. Thanks for the info, in any case.

That is a "SET" trigger. The first trigger sets the second trigger that is a very very very light trigger the first trigger is for safety and also used for competition shooting.Originally Posted by Wirecutter
Recoil is what it is. The 460 S&W has a major thump to it. If you want to experience big recoil the 50bmg has it in spades. Then if that is not enough for you you can ( though it requires a tax stamp ) a 20mm rifle yes they are real and they pack a major wallop.
PS there are no stupid questions. Asking questions gives us knowledge we did not have thus making us smarter then we where.
