I had some of those small mag lite flashlights..Every time one vanishes (when someone borrows it without asking) when I find it the plastic lens is missing off the front..I think people try to unscrew the head trying to get it to turn on and lose the lense..

Noticed a rusted old snap on socket wedged on the underside of my jeep today..Tried to get it off for a couple minutes but just left it there

When looking over the car I just purchased a while ago I looked down and saw a pair of pliers stuck between the radiator and the fan. I reach down and pull them out and the owner of the car said "hey I was looking for those!".

One year I bought my Dad four of them, because his kept disappearing. (not into my toolbox!) Forward 30 years, all of those are long gone...

In my case, it's 10mm combination wrenches and 12mm sockets that disappear.

Condense the mind, give birth to the soul, imminitize the eschaton, call down the flying saucers, fuse spirit with matter, create the universal panceaum at the end of time and lead the triumphant humanity into hyperspace.

When I can't find something I 'just had in my hand', I quit looking for it and look for anything else. Only way to find what I'm looking for is to do something entirely different.
