    Default L00 spindle

Can some kind soul rush out and let me know the diameter of the Nut on an L00 spindle please?

Got to do a drawing for the C spanner to be laser cut out.

Just need the OD and the width of the slot. Had a look on the net, loads of dimensions but none give the nut OD.

    Many thanks.

Not sure what Brits mean by "rush" John, but if you can wait 'till I get off work, I can take some measurements in 3 hours or so

Right up my alley: I have the USAS B5.9 here in my hand.

Working from Table 30 "Drawnuts for Type L Spindle Noses."

    Verbal description. OD 4 5/8, Thread 3 3/4-6 UN, Width 1 3/16, driving slot 1/2, Slot depth 3/16 (0.030 r in slot corners)

Got an eMail? I can send you the page.

    FYI
    My Clausing L00 has a 4.875 O.D. Nut with .50" diameter holes.
I realize it is not the slotted one that John asked for, but there may be some manufacturing differences ?

First glance at the title and I wondered why in the world one would want a spindle in the loo.

(Yes, as a matter of fact I am still ignorant on much of this stuff. )
