I have a taiwanese lathe with a number of those little spring-loaded balls that allow me to oil lead screws and ways. Some are damaged.
Does anyone know where I can buy them or even what they are called? Do they come in different sizes?

Have you ever noticed how "good enough" is neither good nor enough?
You can buy them form any major hardware vendor like Acklands or lubricant hardware vendors like Plews.

They are ball valve oil hole covers. They are of either a drive in or threaded type. You mention the lathes origin of Tiawan, I have not seen any of this style in metric sizes. If the ones you have are a metric size, tou may have to convert them. They are availiable from MSC, McMaster-Carr and others I'm sure.
Paying Attention Is Not That Expensive.
