Phase converter querys

I could be getting a 3 phase mill in the near future. It is powered by 415V 3 phase motors.1 for the drive , 1 for the powerfeeds and a coolant pump. I have only 240V single phase here. Upon quering the power company they want $12 000 to run 1 wire 400m and a transformer(our current power comes off a 3 phase line)plus more money to get that power to the workshop. Way tooooo much.

I under phase converters will convert my 240V to 3 phase but the motors are 415V. How do most people get around the voltage differences.

You'd need a transformer; either a 240-415 3-phase step-up transformer (and I don't know how well a transformer might like the output of a VFD) or a 240-415 single-phase transformer and a VFD for 415V single-phase, which I doubt exists.

If I wuz you I think I'd buy 240V motors. Most likely cheaper.

Or check to see if the existing motors can be rewired for 240V.

Ronk makes a rotary phase converter than not only coverts single to three phase,but also acts as an x-former to provide higher voltage.

Isn't there one on ebay right now? Convert 440 single phase to 440 3 phase. 50 hp
