A bit more info from Google about the ruckus with PB:

    http://www.news.com.au/finance/busin...9a62e6ec2520c6

I edit and store my photos and pics in "Irfanview" and if a pic/image is"lost" or some other disaster I can recover from the Irfanview files on my hard drive.

Irfanview is very good and its free.

And taking these twitter postings at face value it seems that PB itself got taken unawares and is committing the resources required to get it all back to the status quo (as was) was before this "glitch" and if this is so then all will be sweetness and light and peace and serenity will prevail once more in the universe attached to PB.

I see nothing in PB's twitter feed to indicate they are reverting to their earlier TOS. They just appear to be trying to direct complaints to their support email account instead of people doing it via tweets or on forums like this or elsewhere. Basically just trying to manage the public image, not actually deal with the issue.

And it's not a "glitch". It was/is an intentional change to their service.

Well so far my PB image that I posted earlier is still there on my screen - so all is well in that regard anyway - it is repeated here:

In the mean time I am happy to wait and see how it all pans out.

Ok, well until today my old post photos were still showing, but not now. I have intentionally not gone to PB, added, or accessed the pix on there, yet today they are gone, so apparently they will catch up with old users too.

Well, today I got my "Notice" from them - bad boy, you are using us to host 3rd party postings. I thought I was going to be able to fly under their radar.

    Grrr.

Well, a bit of a surprise that I thought I could do without - but I did have my caliper pic removed from "full size" to "mini" size.

I clicked on the mini image and up it all came - as before:

    PB now seems quite functional.

There were no notices or warnings with it.

Here is my bucket listing - as before.

    And another from my screen:

But not wanting to stick my neck out and push my luck I will just see how things go every so often I will just be careful.

It seems that I am not using a third party to host my PB pics and images - which maybe why I am working well with PB - or perhaps not.

My paying my fees too might help as well.

    Any thoughts? comments?

It seems that on some computers that it is always reduced to "costs" and "fees" etc. - or rather perhaps not paying any.

So you are paying the $399 US to allow hosting?

    Yup - sure are/am.

Consider it good value to just have it waiting in case its needed even if it is not used at all.

As some may realise that "value" can often be to ensure that something does not happen as apposed to that it will happen when it is in place and available on demand - just like insurance is supposed to do when it is in place.

I would bet that there are some here who now regret not paying the PB fees - or using some other host and worried if they will get their pics/images recovered in their original condition.

Not to mention the angst time am worry involved.

That US$400 that I paid is looking better by the hour.
