    Slightly off topic i know, but....
    If there is such a hulabaloo over this subject, does'nt anyone query the big bosses at say Starrett, and Brown and Sharp, etc, for outsourcing their product's manufacture?
    ie corporate greed in a global world instead of insisting on home grown product?
    I, as an Englishman if wanting to purchase say, the latest Starrett dial caliper, would be pretty pissed to see the Made In China stamp on the back.

    Friend who had a steel order arrive for his fab shop, had an 8 inch I beam, in the load and it was stamped Made in Russia.

    We had a steel plant in pueblo co. used to be called CF&I i think, changed hands now a few times but last i heard it was Russian owned...
