Default Help request for Churchill NB Surface Grinder

    Hi,
I recently acquired a very forlorn Churchill NB Surface Grinder and have a question if someone could help with. I think the main shaft has a Wheel Adapter installed but I'm not allowed to attach a photo. I made an Adapter Puller and sprayed the 'Adapter' with WD40 but was unable to shift it. I tried carefully heating it (too hot to touch) but it remains firmly attached. Now, I'm assuming what I'm looking at is, in fact, a Wheel adapter and not just part of the actual shaft but I have no manual / Picture to check. I emailed Tony at Lathes.co.uk asking to purchase a manual but got no reply. Serial # is NB25956 if needed and I would really appreciate if anyone could help since I definitely don't want to damage the shaft.
    Thanks
    Charles

Yes, we had a Churchill way back in the 1970's and it was a beautiful machine with hydralic bearings and it did have grinding wheel adapters, but don't remember how to remove the adapter.

Thanks for the replies. Looking properly at my shaft I'm certain it is an adaptor so I'll continue the attempt to free it with care.
