I do not have ADHD, but may suffer from ADHOhhh. Shiney!!!

Seriously, I've made a career of being able to diagnose and fix things. I find that to be easy if the problem is within my field of expertise, and only slightly more difficult if it is not. I have no idea why it works that way.

But recently I was clinically diagnosed as "normal" when I found my memory faltering and math skills disappearing. Attention span has shrunk a LOT. I used to be able to study a subject all evening with no regard for outside distractions. Now I can barely get through 20 minutes of reading a tech manual without losing interest. I had to read the manual for my new drone to figure out how to work it. It only had 6 functions for god's sake!

I explained all these deficits to the Neurologists. They did 4 hours of tests, did a brain scan (MRI) and then they declared me "Normal for a 60 year old".

    Normal. That sucks.

P.S. Do others suffer from my attitude? Yeah. I tend to be to brusque and have no poker face. If someone says something stupid my face shows it, even at work.
There is a profound difference between spare parts and extra parts.
