Thread: Different machine job

    The job is done so I don't need a rifling machine.

    The piston was milled yesterday and was a tight fit in the cylinder so a little lapping compound and it is a good sliding fit. With a little grease it actually pushes air and draws a slight vacuum. I post a pic when I have a camera handy.
    The shortest distance between two points is a circle of infinite diameter.

    These pics are of the piston, the lands are visible. The coding to machine these was fairly complicated and was all done in G code, no CAM used. It is a good fit inside the cylinder.
