Default Drilling 1/16 holes woth our CNC Router

I am doing a project that will involve assembling a bunch of wooden boxes. We want to make it easy, so I want to pre drill holes to guide the screws. We have a Romaxx CNC Router with a Porter Cable 690 router head - 1/8, 1/4. 1/2" collets. I want to pilot drill a bunch of 1/16" holes to guide the screws. Any ideas on a simple adapter for 1/16 drill bit?

    Tnx

Look for hex shank drill bits or jewellery drill bits--no adapter required...

    https://www.google.ca/search?q=enlar...etqIijmGUrbZM:

OK, so I just realized that you only have collets to work with--hex shank bits probably won't work. You should be able to find
jewellery bits or enlarged shank bits somewhere--I've seen them, just can't remember where...

Make a split bushing to fit one of the collets.

Or, if you don't have a convenient way to split the bushing, soft solder the drill into the bushing.

How deep do you need to drill?

1/8 shank carbide endmill, 2 flute would work well drilling. You probably already have them too. Only problem might be the depth needed.

Circuit board drills. Any size you want all with 1/8” shanks and depth setting collar.
