    Having checked properly, the thread is indeed M3.5 x 0.6, but I may have difficulty getting a replacement as the length needs to be at least 10mm long.

    Search from ebay, plenty of sizes available. Even the chinese ones have been pretty good in these sizes (small m2.5 t8 heads strip sometimes.)

    I've just found some 12mm long ones on ebay, and they can be shortened for other toolholders.
