Cool Adding to the crop of OT threads: Dad Brag!

    Hi,

After 7 long years, my 3rd Daughter is finally graduating from College. She is doing her defense for her PhD M.E. tomorrow afternoon. I will not be able to make it tomorrow because I have to be at a EMS seminar on Strokes, (got to keep up those ConEd credits). But I will be there this weekend to help celebrate!

What is truly amazing to me is that she has completed all this schooling on academic scholarships. From winning a National Merit Scholarship in High School to get her BS in M.E., to the University picking up the full tab plus living expenses for her Masters and now Her PhD. She is truly well above normal - in smarts and effort.

She is the first in our family lines to have earned the right to the title of Doctor of Mechanical Engineering. Dad and Mom can not be anymore proud of her and all the effort to earn that title!
If you think you understand what is going on, you haven't been paying attention.

You earned the rights to some bragging. If you ever care to be even more impressed and proud of you daughter than you are right now, look up the stats on what percentage of the US population has attained that level of education. It's not a lot. It takes real perseverance to get through all of that.

Congratulations, that is a significant accomplishment!

What was the title of her thesis?? I wonder how many here will be able to even understand the words in it. :-)

    Impressive indeed!

I'd also be curious what her thesis was.
