    Pipe serrater
    Probably called with different brand name in every count(r)y depending who has been dominating the market.

    there is also adjustable spanners with "pipe jaw"

    It's a bolt head mangler. Used for chewing up previously good condition fasteners

    We used to use them on line hardware back when I was a young Lineman and the only name i ever heard them called was an "alligator wrench". They only worked so-so on square nuts and boltheads and I always preferred a crescent wrench.

    That is what they call a "Stooge Wrench"

    I once saw Moe use one on Curly's nose.

    Yeah I could see maybe ok with square nuts, not hex ..
    Nowadays often called a wallhanger..

    I've got a cool old S shaped double ended alligator wrench out in the shop, even has thread chasers built into the middle of it.

    That thing looks ridiculous, like Arcane says just use a crescent, I could just see someone posting about their bloody knuckles because they were using that POS in close quarters and good old SJ chiming in calling them a "clumsy bastard"
