I ordered a set of books from Jand L machine shop practice along with a mutitiyo digital micrometer and a sine bar and a set of parallels and as soon as they arrived I managed to open the micrometer and the rest were wisked off from under my nose.
Seems my wife thinks they will make good christmas pressies what a life oh well at least I saved the micrometer good job my eyesight is getting worse.

I'M in touch with a guy in ireland who has a warehouse full of spares and he has probably got them in his inventry.
problem is I have to have a part number.
will have to do some more phoning around to find the part numbers me thinks.
