    Thanks.

I think most took it as I intended -- "hey look got some cool stuff, maybe one of you can too!"

BUT, being new to this forum and under some time presures (see my Southbend lathe post) I didn't do much lurking before posting.

    Ciao,

    Adrien

    AT,

You didn't "advertise" something you had for sale, you just listed a link to an item that might be of interest to others. Neil Knox would have zapped the thread had it been improper, something like:

    ITEMS FOR SALE CHEAP: http:\\mywebsite.com

I think everybody (except one) appreciated your post.

Man, I'm losing it. Thought I posted an apology but didn't see it. Sorry again!

After a bit of negotiation I think I paid a fair price given the condition. Here are the accessories I got as well.

BillH - My dad and I moved it this weekend with a come-a-long, a 4x8 sheet of ply, 2 8' pieces of 2"x2" angle iron, a floor jack, some jack stands, ratcheting straps, and a U-Haul 6'x12' trailer. It really wasn't that bad. If you have access a tow vehicle you could do it for something like $150.

Sorry. I guess I should have read the terms a bit closer. I could have also called it a gloat as I'm really happy with what I ended up with.

    3PH,

You're making me cry. Nice Bports in the St. Louis area, equipped like yours, bring $3,000+. The only ones in the $1,500 range are ancient, abused & neglected - like some of the forum members!

That price is actually high for that BP around here.. I got mine w/DRO, 42" table, 2HP Variable speed Head w/Kurt Vise, and r8 collets for around $1500 from the want Ads
    http://www.thewantads.com

Technically, I bought both my Lathe and Bridgeport from the same guy for $3k, so I figure the Bridgeport is $1500, and the lathe is $1500....

If I had the money and means to move it, I would already be there looking at it.

Sorry! Should have looked more closely at the rules and regs.

Is there a moderator who could close / delete this thread?

Good looking Bport. Nice mill for shop with limited space, not much bigger than a mill-drill. Someone will appreciate you posting the link.

feel free to go pop it into www.practicalmachinist.com classifieds. many of this crowd frequent that site anyway.

The owner is retiring and used to do a fair bit of work for the university labs - mostly in platic.

I picked up a mill from him this weekend and it seems to be in very very nice shape with chromed ways. I didn't look over the 36" too close, but here are a few shots of my ways -- the table side and you can still see the original machining marks on the unplated side.
