  • Bevel Protractors

I am looking to buy a bevel protractor. I have experience with the universal type with the vernier scale but have never used one with a dial scale. I am looking at both types and was wondering if anyone on the board has an opinion or recommendation which type to get. I need something accurate to 5 minutes (1/12 of a degree).
    Thanks, Mark

I have the dial type and it really works great. I should have gotten it years earlier.

I bought an import dial type protractor a couple years ago. When I got it I checked it out against the angle blocks and the sine bar over all four quadrants and it was accurate well within its 10 arc minute graduations. I'd almost be tempted to interpolate the dial scale.

I don't use it much so I can't comment on its durability.
