Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and I need some advice! I just purchased a Leblond 16x40 engine lathe,I haven't researched it's age yet, and it doesn't have a taper attachment. I have seen that you can make your own, has anyone here done that for their own machine, or should I search out a specific one for my model? Thanks for any help in this matter......Ernie

.........Obviously I guess you NEED a taper attachement? There are lots of plans available and for sale around on the net from old magazines. Also HSM magazine has had articles about making them.

A fairly straightforward operation and some can be made utilizing off the shelf bar and rod sizes.

    I've never made one, sorry.
