  • Knurling...?

Can somebody refresh my memory on knurling.
Its been 25 years since I have done it.
Is it like a threading operation or do I move the carraige by hand ? I have a 13 inch SouthBend and a 12 inch Enco lathe.
    Thanx
    Tom

Tom, there have been quite a few discussions on this topic before.

There are some aspects of knurling that are very controversial.

Here is one that ended up with quite a lot of discussion. You may find reading it helpfull or maybe not.

If you do a search there are many others too.

      Good luck!

      John.
