Well merrily working away today and the phone goes.
    Local university.
Do I want an oxy-acetalene profile table?
It was due to be disposed of but they had been let down.
Only problem, needs to be moved today but it's free for collection.

Jump in the Donald and drive out there, about 15 miles. Already on the loading bay, slide in the Donald and away we go.

Got it back and unloaded, sticker on the plug saying not tested and needs to be tested.
Plugged it in to test it not working.
    Bugger.
Took the plug to bits and they had removed the fuse so it couldn't be used, new fuse [ ten whole pence !!! ] tried it again and away we went.

For anyone not familar with these you bolt a metal or plywood profile to the top over arm and the motor on the follower arm traces round the profile to duplicate the shape below with the cuting head.
The box on the head contains the cuting controls and the variable speed for the follower motor.
This will be great for a retrofit to fasten the plasma head to it instead of the oxy rig.

Good deal John, you lucky devil! Hey lets see a picture of the Donald. Don't know what that is. Is it like a Dodge diesel?

Donald in UK rhyming slang is Donald Duck = truck.

Nice hual!I like those units, plasma is great, but oxy lets you cut thick and cheap.

I just need one more tool, just one!
