  • Fathers day

Well just scored a new camera.
A Fuji S3500, not expensive but very nice for what I need.
I happened to mention last week that I needed two batteries for the old Sony I have and they are آ£40 each.
I bought a couple of pattern ones about 18 months ago but they haven't lasted.

I wasn't dropping hints, in fact I thought it was a bit too much.
Now found out there is an ulterior motive. The Sony takes very good Macro pictures and small daughter wants it for Ebay jewellery pics running off mains.

Obviously the training has worked well

I got one last week for my 75th. Mines an Olympus C-370 which is Greek to me.
I have been crawling under a Lotus Elise for Fathers Day- was painting the fences before the dawn. Me and the birds!!!!

Seriously, John, we all look forward to your works of art.No need to cut your ears off- Pardon?

I look forward to your exposures!!!!

Sorry- but could I recommend Cote de Rhone as a lubricant?

My wife has had the Fujifilm S3000 for 1 1/2 years and loves it. I'm sure you'll like the S3500.

I picked up the Ron Champion book "Build yourself an off road buggy for آ£100" in the library last week.
Very practical and I'm trying to avoid being sidetracked from the job in hand!

No factory job.Picked it up used and rebuilt it.
Antonia and Ed drove it so much last week that I had to replace the 8 bearings in the wheels and the drive chain!!
              Next stop is the F1!!

I have a narly 40 year old Fujica ST705W that is totally manual. SLR, two lenses. My other camera is Minolta, about 20 years old, semi-automatic. both are great, but when i want the best pics, the fujica comes out - better than a hasselblad.

Got woke up by the grand daughter (product of the 24 year old), and my "trailer" has followed me around all day. Don't listen to mama worth anything, but I say something quietly, she does it better than my 14 year old.

Having fun, time to trim the lawn - my hobby of choice in Summer New England.

I'm not a dad, but I picked my father up a $6 antique tool grinder for a father's day offering....

was a pretty sweet little machine, with a vise to hold it to a bench, and a hand crank to spin the grinding wheel

Well Fathers day may be about fathers and children but the best part for me is some intimate time with my childrens mother to whom I've ben married to for better than 32 years. We expect 4 of the 5 children here this afternoon with a bevy of grandchildren and wives and mates.
